Training Programs

Welcome,

We are very pleased that you are interested in participating in a Serper Method™ Training Program. You will learn to use The Serper Method™ as an interactive learning experience to help those who want to strengthen brain function and have been undergoing cognitive and memory challenges of aging, aphasia, or a diagnosis of dementia. We have just finished our October Training in the Boston area. Watch this site for the latest information regarding our next Training, sometime in December. Attached you will find an overview of the training including a curriculum, the Cognitive Educator™ Curriculum and a schedule for the workshop, costs and registration.

Some of you have expressed an interest in scheduling a training session on your site. This is always exciting for the residents, the staff and the administration. As always, I am available to schedule such a program. Additional costs will include travel expenses and accommodations for the trainer.

As you will notice from the attached flyer, the Serper Method™ has been successful in each of the four studies. I believe you too will find successful results using the Serper Method™ learning program with your residents or clientele. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you to help bring the Serper Method ™ learning program into your communities. Remember that “Learning is a rich and essential fuel for the brain” Lynn Lazarus Serper

The Serper Method™ program is a skilled intervention. To become certified as Cognitive Educators™, healthcare and social service professionals are required to:

  • Attend the 2 day Serper Method™ Cognitive Educator™ training program (which includes clinical training with Cognitive Students™), and
  • Follow up training with a structured program of communication and evaluation with a BES Cognitive Educator™ during the first 12 weeks of program implementation.

Candidates who meet BES standards and successfully complete the program are awarded a CEd™ certification by BES.

The next cognitive training will be held on March 11th and 12th. This is an exciting opportunity to experience the Serper Method and witness the positive results it yields.

Cognitive Educator™ training programs are conducted on-site and in Waltham, MA. Contact Dr. Serper for more information.
