Using The Method

The goal of a Serper Method™ program is to create a positive environment and dispel any fear of learning. Since the goal of the work is to stimulate brain activity, there is no such thing as a wrong answer.

The Serper Method™ is a structured learning program made up of reading, history, and geography activities. The activities are planned to exercise sensory input and output through visual, auditory and kinesthetic channels, and are designed to stabilize memory, increase knowledge, and enhance social interaction and self-esteem. The student is always encouraged to express information, thoughts, and ideas and share them in conversation or discussion.

Each Serper Method™ Workbook has 12 weeks of lessons, with materials for sessions twice a week. Workbooks come with a Certificate of Achievement for Cognitive Students™. Extended benefits are achieved when workbook study sessions conducted by a Cognitive Educator™ are combined with participation by a caregiver or family member once a week.

Serper Method™ programs may be reimbursable under the terms of long term care insurance policies.
